Biofertilizer Production from Anaerobic Digestates

This project focused on the pilot-scale production of solid and liquid biofertilizer products from anaerobically digested food waste and dairy manure. The work included digestate characterization, lab-scale biofertilizer development, pilot-scale digestate processing, greenhouse fertilization trials with lettuce, farm-scale fertilization trials with tomatoes and corn, and technoeconomic analysis.
